Northside Baseball Academy - Fall Baseball Mini-Camp - November 4 - 5, 2011

Don't miss this awesome two-day event! Scroll down for all the info! Summary:   This year's Fall Baseball Mini-Camp is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, November 4th and 5th. We will be focusing again this year on position play, but will also have separate clinics for pitching, hitting and baserunning. Don't miss this unique training opportunity. Eligibility:   Homeschool Boys, age 11 - 18 Age is based on the age of the player on September 1, 2011. Location:   Barton Park / Zack Kahn Sports Complex  (Click link for map & directions) South Loop 336 East Conroe, Texas Dates:   Friday, November 4th and Saturday, November 5th, 2011 Times:   Friday: 2:00 - 5:00 pm Saturday: 1:00 - 5:00 pm Cost:   Both Days: $75 Friday Only: $40 Saturday Only: $50 Please make checks payable to: Northside Baseball Academy Other Information:   All participants are encouraged to show up 1/2 hour before the camp start time. On both days, please be sure to eat lunch at least one hour before you show up. Players should wear appropriate clothing, including baseball pants and hat, cleats (no track spikes), and appropriate protective gear. Player must provide his own glove. Players are also advised to bring tennis shoes (for certain drills), a towel, and an extra t-shirt. Players are encouraged (but not required) to bring their own bat, batting gloves and helmet, although a limited supply of bats and helmets will be on hand for general use. On that note, please be advised that sharing of helmets in a large group setting is not a generally safe practice and is not endorsed by Northside Baseball Academy or the Northside Falcons. Players are strongly encouraged to bring their own water bottle or other liquid supply. We will have a cooler on hand, but that can be depleted quickly. Also, although the facility does have a water fountain, we have no way of assuring its status of operation. In addition to being an instructional activity, the Fall mini-camp is an opportunity for our coaches to evaluate players for selection to the Falcons teams that will play in the Spring of 2012. Attendance at camp is neither a commitment nor a requirement to try out for or play on one of our teams; all eligible boys are encouraged to come out for a great two days of baseball skills, drills and instruction. Please note that you do not need to be a resident of North Houston or Montgomery County to participate in our camps or play on a Falcons team. Finally, please understand that parents are welcome to stick around, provided they remain outside the fence and away from other training activities. In connection, parents need to plan for drop-off and pick-up at the appropriate times. We will not be responsible for players who are not picked up at the appropriate time. Rain Policy: There are no rain dates scheduled at this time. Stay tuned. In the event of rain, we will either: a) move to an indoor facility for the day, b) schedule a make-up for a future date, or, c) provide a partial or full refund based on the day(s) missed and amounts paid.
